FARMINGTON HILLS - The Ann Arbor Cougars Girls 14-under team had the will to win in Sunday's final game of the BD's Mongolian BBQ Tourney at Suburban Ice Rink. They faced a familiar foe, MI Icebreakers, but never let them into the game, as the Cougars defeated the Icebreakers 6-2, and were crowned the G14U tournament champion.
Mercedes Reyes was named MVP with 2 goals and 1 assist in the final, along with stellar play during the round robin, in which the Cougars defeated the Icebreakers 1-0 and Farmington Hills Fire 9-0, as well as tied St Clair Shores 2-2. Hannah Fremd was also on top of her game as she allowed 4 goals in 4 games.
