The AAAHA Tactics and Systems Guide is intended to give AAAHA coaches a standard guide to teaching tactics and systems for each age level. The goal is to ensure that as kids move to the next higher age level, regardless of the coaches they've had, they all have the same basic knowledge of tactics and systems. This allows coaches at the higher levels to build on what the kids have learned previously and gives our association a consistant model across all age groups and levels.
The Tactics and Systems Guide is by no means intended to limit what coaches teach their players. However, it is the recommendation of the ACE Director Program and the Coaching and Player Development Committee that coaches keep things simple from a systems standpoint and focus most intensely on skill development.
The guide has been divided into modules for easy downloads. The introduction contains information that applies across all age groups and the knowledge of which is necessary to the proper execution of any system. The rest of the modules are divided by age level and the information contained in each successive module is intended to build on the modules before it. There is, hopefully, no duplication in any module.
Please keep in mind that this is a work in progress. Currently the Introduction module and the Mite module are complete. The Squirt module is under construction, but what we have, so far, is posted. The Peewee and Bantam/Midget modules will follow asap.
